Services

Examinations:
Brookville Animal Hospital performs a full physical examination on any pet visiting our office. This includes checking the eyes, ears, mouth, and nose, listening to the heart and lungs, and examining the abdomen and outer anatomy of the animal. A complete patient history, including any medical records available, is extremely helpful.
Vaccinations:
Brookville Animal Hospital follows the latest recommendations and guidelines developed by the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, and the American Association of Feline Practitioners. Vaccination protocols are individualized based on age, health status, lifestyle, and travel habits. Dogs and cats require their first vaccinations at 6-8 weeks of age, boosters every 3-4 weeks until they are 4 months old, and annually thereafter.
Grooming:
At Brookville Animal Hospital basic grooming services include bathing, brushing the coat, and trimming the nails. Haircuts and trims, deshedding, nail dremeling, dental cleaning, and other services are also available at competitive prices.

Blood, Urine, and Fecal Analysis:
Brookville Animal Hospital is equipped to perform many tests in-house so that results are provided in only a few minutes. We also use the services of referral labs when more extensive tests are necessary; results from these facilities are usually returned within 24 hours.
Diagnostic Technology
At Brookville Animal Hospital X-rays are used to help diagnose certain conditions by revealing internal structures. We perform and develop x-rays on site and they are interpreted by our veterinarian. Ultrasounds provide more information about the conditions of internal organs. We utilize the services of travelling specialists to perform ultrasound-guided biopsies and fine needle aspirations. EKG and ECG imaging techniques help to evaluate abnormalities in the heart rhythm and identify other heart conditions.
Dental Care
Dental health affects your pet’s entire body. Tooth and gum disease are often painful and can also lead to infections in the mouth that may spread to other areas of the body. We recommend regular at-home brushing as well as annual professional scaling and polishing. For this outpatient procedure, we anesthetize your pet, remove the plaque and tartar from their teeth, and polish them for a bright white smile.
Senior Pet Care
To help your older pets live long, healthy, and comfortable lives, we provide semi-annual exams, blood pressure monitoring, and senior blood panels. If your pet suffers from arthritis, we offer several different modes of treatment to help keep him or her comfortable.
Spay & Neuter
Spaying (removal of female reproductive organs) or neutering (removal of male reproductive organs) should be performed when your pet is 4-6 months of age. These procedures require general anesthesia, so we use the safest methods available and continuously monitor your pet’s heart rate and oxygen saturation at all times.
Surgeries
From orthopedic surgeries for bone and joint problems to mass and tissue removal we cover a variety of procedures to ensure your pet is healthy. Contact us for more information about our surgeries.
